How to Guarantee consistent Ad Results

Marketing in itself is a pretty simple process once you’ve gone through the painful task of mastering how to push the right buttons. The hard part comes when you’re trying to get consistent results month after month.

I learned this the hard way but I’m going to share the secret that will truly blow up your marketing.

=If Only It Was Easy=

Going back a good few years now, I used to work for a rather large marketing company. I started at the very bottom. I was coached by a very nonchalant guy in the sense that anything would do. Any ad. Any headline. Any audience.

His go-to saying was “Josh lad, slap it on the page and get it gone.”

Later on, I discovered the reason for this was that we were working with some pretty huge ad budgets. This meant that it was far easier to get results as we could just bulldoze through any obstacle with money.

Kind of like a bulldozer, but with far more speed.

Anyway, after a while of doing this, I got to the point where I was put in charge of advertising the company. But there was a catch.

They only gave me a small budget to work with which made things 10 times harder because it was far different than what I was used to.

I had to get creative.

I did some research and I came to the conclusion that Meta ads were the way to go.

I was getting decent results which didn’t surprise me all that much as I had done the same for quite a few clients at this point.

However, they weren't consistent. My boss wasn’t best pleased Apparently, he expected more even though I was working on a shoestring.

I tried the usual testing but nothing really seemed to ramp up the Consistency

=The Winning Formula=

I went home that night and did some digging. I came across something called “Data-Driven Marketing” (or D.D.M.)

Turns out, this was the tool I was missing.

You see, while advertising is trial and error to an extent, that only gets you so far. Especially when working with a smaller budget.

When you want actual consistent results you need to look at the data.

Don’t worry it’s not a maze of numbers and formulas only meant for the eyes of a rocket scientist. Just a few key metrics to keep an eye on.

Such as:

  • Click-Through Rate (CTR): The amount of people who click on your ad.

  • Conversion Rate: See how many people actually took action on your ad. This could be purchases, sign-ups, form submissions, all that good stuff.

  • Cost per click (CPC): How much you pay every time someone clicks on your ad.

 And most importantly:

  • COST PER LEAD (CPL): This is how much of your ad budget you spent to get a single lead.

Here’s a couple of formulas for reference:

By analysing these metrics and testing based on the results they give we’ll be able to tailor our ads to get the best results every time. Which massively increases return on investment.

There’s no better way on earth to run ads. Maybe on Mars, but we’ll never know.

REMEMBER! - “A successful ad isn’t just an ad that gets results. A successful ad gets results consistently.”

That’s exactly what I did and well, let’s just say I got some nice commission. I also ended up being promoted to chief marketer which was a complete turnaround.

If you’re struggling to get consistent results for your business, give this a shot. I guarantee it’ll be well worth your time.
