The Success Secret Very Few Know About

When starting a business, getting that initial traction is one of the hardest things you'll ever have to do.
Yes, the odd business can have success within a week but that’s extremely rare.
There are lots of ways to gain that traction, and in the next few minutes, I’m going to go through some of those methods. I’ll also share with you by far the most effective method I’ve found.
Something I really wish I knew when I first started out.
Recently, a few of my good friends have decided they want to start their own businesses.
Don’t get me wrong, they’re pretty clever guys but I’m not sure if they’ve got the mindset for business.
I was in my local coffee shop the other day, trying to mix things up from the usual office space and my buddy Luke came to me, he asked me the best way to get starting traction.
This is one of those questions that is really hard to answer with no context.
Lucky for him though, I have a pretty decent idea as I struggled quite a bit with this in the beginning.
=Taking Over The World=
Problem is, most new business owners want to take over the world in the first six months.
And You can thank social media for that.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s doable if you have the starting capital of a small country. But since you're reading this, I’ll take an educated guess and say you don’t.
Think about it. How many times have you been scrolling through your social media, especially YouTube, and you’ve come across hundreds of teenage millionaires who supposedly started a business selling dog toys and neck pillows, all getting massive success in about two weeks?
Sorry to say, it’s not that easy If it was, we’d all be rich.
=The Secret To Success=
Take a second and think about something you use every day. Could be a razor.
Now what company do you think of when you see that razor? Gillette maybe?
The founder of Gillette, King C Gillette did the exact same thing I’m about to go into and look at his company now. It’s a pretty fine example of zero to hero don’t you think?
The big secret is…..
Become the go-to man (or woman) in your local area.
So let’s just say you run Google ads for businesses to help them get more clients.
You can target the whole country and try to get your name out that way, however, it’s really not good for your time or your pocket.
Whereas if you become the hero of your local area. The one who everybody automatically thinks of when they need more clients. Well…. Let’s just say you hit the jackpot.
Let’s talk about how we can make that happen.
=So, How Do I Do This?=
There are quite a few ways you can do this.
Again some are kinder to your pocket than others, but at the end of the day, every business requires some investment.
Before I give you the answers, I want you to pause and think about how you could do this for your business.
…
…
…
Done?
Good, let’s move on.
You could start by spreading the word about your business to the people you know. Friends, family, neighbours, random people on the street.
The only issue with this method is you need to know quite a lot of people. Some of us with a small circle might struggle a bit.
Alternatively, you could put up posters, signs, and hand out business cards.
This is a solid method which got me some pretty decent results.
The best way by far though is to run ads.
I recommend Meta ads specifically.
Think about it, you target your area exclusively, run ads, and then retarget those same people with a fresh new ad. They end up seeing you again and again and again.
Providing they like what they see, you’ll gain traction in no time.
It takes surprisingly less time than you might think to become the Gillette of your local area.
