Avoid This Trap To Build A Bulletproof Business

Brothers and sisters, there’s something we desperately need to talk about.

I’m not talking about a theoretical problem that may or may not exist.

No, this is something that WILL bring your business to its knees faster than you can say "doomsday" if you don’t address it.

Yes, we all know running a business can be a pain and things get overlooked.

That’s fine if you’re just sending a letter to your grandma.

But almost all of the business owners that I help do the exact same thing. I understand.

Mostly because I got caught in this trap when I first jumped into business.

Believe me, It’s very enticing.

=The Business Bear Trap=

I’m talking about building your business around the number 1.

1 is the worst number in business, it means no alternative. No backup plan. Just one in the chamber.

Having 1 pillar in any area is asking the universe to screw you over.

So let’s say you own an online store, you’re selling dog toys. Everything’s going great. Then BOOM, your only payment processor goes down, everything comes screeching to a halt.

What now? Better call the escape pod because unless you can fix it fast you’re screwed.

This also applies to staff.

Say you have one person who knows all the passwords, has all the info, and props up his department so it won’t function without him.

What if he goes off sick for 3 months, has family issues, or he could even decide to screw you over.

What then?

Kick away that one pillar and the whole thing comes crashing down. There goes the business you’ve worked so hard for.

=You Have Full Control=

Deep down, we all know leaving things to chance is a bad idea. And we should have more pillars, but we’re often too busy with everything else.

I’ve seen way too many good businesses fail because of this.

The worst part is, the owners blame others. People, circumstances, or reasons that are out of their control.

What they fail to realise is that it’s completely in their control.

You have to take action on one of the few things in life that you have full control over.

=Turn Your Business Into A Fortress=

The best possible way you can secure your business from collapse is to always be looking for cracks in your armour.

I’m not talking about paranoia though. Don’t go around panicking and waiting for every little thing to go wrong. Y'know like some of these doomsday preppers.

Look at your business and identify the weakest areas, and focus on those first.

Get more pillars under before they fall over.

Open a document and draw up an emergency plan. If one of your pillars were to fall, what would you do?

So if we go back to the employee example from earlier. You can easily solve this by cross- training other staff or making sure you know how to do the job.

So all in all, don’t leave things to chance. Turn your business into a fortress by adding as many pillars to each area as possible. If 1 pillar falls make sure there are 10 in its place.

P.S. Curious how I’d implement this into your marketing? Do this:
